The closed beta is ‘close to ready’ for the game’s PS4 mods. We are working with Sony to increase this limit.

When it comes to fallout 4, mods are a huge factor. Bethesda acknowledges these concerns and said that they were working with Sony to find solutions ahead of the program’s release on PS4. Like many Bethesda games, modding is one of the big draws for games like Fallout 4 on the PC, PS4 & Xbox. Other issues include memory and performance problems due to PC texture usage. Compared to Fallout 4 mods on Xbox One having a mod limit of 2GB, the PS4 only has 900 MB of space. However, there are a few issues with these mods, as detailed by Bethesda’s website.įor one, sound files don’t run on the PS4 due to them being on a different format. However with the PS4 and Xbox One, mod support has made its way to consoles. So much so that many a PC gamer prefers playing these games on PC for mod support alone. Also known as modifications - these user generated pieces of content add a tremendous amount of replayability to the base game when you’re done with its main storyline. One of the biggest draws of Fallout 4 and Bethesda’s soon to be released Skyrim Special Edition is mods.
